Problems

  • ✗
    Open recursion
Nameservers · These nameservers resolve names for anyone, which makes them usable for DNS amplification attacks and cache poisoning: ns.caf.fr (91.231.174.240), ns1.caf.fr (91.231.174.241). Disable recursion on authoritative servers.
    #16
  • ✗
    No DNS over TCP
Nameservers · DNS over TCP is required (RFC 7766); without it, large answers such as DNSSEC responses fail. Not answering over TCP: ns.caf.fr (91.231.174.240): dial tcp 91.231.174.240:53: i/o timeout; ns1.caf.fr (91.231.174.241): dial tcp 91.231.174.241:53: i/o timeout.
    #19
  • !
    NS sets differ
Delegation · The nameservers at the parent and in the zone should be the same. Only in the zone: ns3.caf.fr. ns.caf.fr, ns1.caf.fr, ns3.caf.fr report NS ns.caf.fr ns1.caf.fr ns3.caf.fr.
    #7
  • !
    No IPv6
Delegation · None of the nameservers has an IPv6 address, so IPv6-only resolvers can't reach them.
    #13
  • !
    Not signed
DNSSEC · The zone is not signed with DNSSEC, so answers can be spoofed. Enable DNSSEC at your DNS provider and publish the DS record at your registrar.

Problems

  • !
    Policy: quarantine
DMARC · DMARC policy is set to 'quarantine'. Consider upgrading to 'reject' for stronger protection once you've verified legitimate emails are passing authentication.
    #4
  • !
    Not enabled
DNSSEC · DNSSEC is not enabled for this domain. Consider enabling DNSSEC to protect against DNS spoofing attacks.
    #8
  • !
    Hosts without IPv6
MX · The following MX hosts could not be resolved to IPv6 addresses: mel1.cnaf.fr, mel2.cnaf.fr
    #11
  • !
    No aggregate reports (rua)
DMARC · DMARC record has no rua tag, so you receive no aggregate reports about who sends mail as your domain. Add rua=mailto:...
    #19
  • !
    1024-bit DKIM key
DKIM · 1024-bit RSA keys are the minimum and are considered weak today: selector2 (1024 bits). Rotate to a 2048-bit key.
    #23
  • !
    Report address not authorized
DMARC · These report addresses are in another domain that has not agreed to receive your reports, so receivers will not send them: mailto:dmarc-report@cnaf.fr (needs caf.fr._report._dmarc.cnaf.fr). Ask the report provider to publish the record, or check the address.
    #29
  • !
    Not configured
TLS · MTA-STS is not configured, so other mail servers fall back to unencrypted delivery when TLS fails or is stripped by an attacker. Publish a _mta-sts TXT record and a policy at https://mta-sts.<domain>/.well-known/mta-sts.txt.
